Sturminster Newton

Sturminster Newton lies upstream of Blandford and the de facto `capital` of the Blackmore Vale which surrounds it. Historically at the heart of dairying and cheese-making country, this little town was also home to Thomas Hardy and Victorian Dorset dialect poet William Barnes.
